Maple-Bourbon Smash

Did you know that bourbon pairs perfectly with maple syrup? Bourbon has a natural sweetness that complements maple syrup. This recipe is a play on an Old Fashioned that is bursting with flavor and aroma, and includes orange, lemon, bitters and our Corey's NYS pure maple syrup.

Ingredients

• 1/2 ounce Corey's NYS pure maple syrup

• 1/2 ounce fresh orange juice

• 1/4 ounce fresh lemon juice

• 4 dashes of Angostura bitters

• 1/2 orange slice

• 2 ounces bourbon

• Ice

• 1 1/2 ounces chilled seltzer

Directions

1. Gather ingredients and combine maple syrup with orange juice, lemon juice and bitters in a rocks glass.

2. Add the orange slice and slightly muddle.

3. Add the bourbon and stir well.

4. Fill glass with ice and top with chilled seltzer.

5. Enjoy!
